Stacie and I spent Memorial Day weekend with our Grandpa Jack Paslay in Portland Texas. I really enjoy chatting with him about what it was like in the years leading up to World War II. He was a medic in the Navy and was serving stateside when the war ended. After the war ended, he worked at a separation center in St. Louis Missouri where he helped process all the sailors out of the Navy back into civilian life before he was released.
I am blessed to be able to hear his perspective on life in the America that I love.
